1 . Demonstrate the power of togetherness: our togetherness allows us to share ideas, collaborate on our project to birth the new nation, and brainstorm solutions to the challenges we face. Our strengths are amplified when we combine them with the strengths of members and alliance partners. We can become better South Africa and Africa when we learn to work together. 2 . United we are strong: united we are strong, and united we shall win. 3 . Together we are enabled to serve the expectations of the nation: the SARA GEAR aims to reduce unemployment by half by 2029, attain an economic growth rate of 8% per year, create 800,000 jobs per year, and redistribute the reserves in the form of grants to the disadvantaged. South Africa can realise these goals by drawing on the energies of its people, growing an inclusive economy, building capabilities, enhancing the capacity of the state, and promoting leadership and partnerships throughout society. 4 . We must be people of integrity: SARA will deploy public service leaders with integrity who are honest and show a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral, and ethical principles and values. 5 . We must be trustworthy: we must not deceive or knowingly mislead. Being trustworthy requires us to set out facts and relevant issues truthfully and to correct any errors as soon as possible. 6 . We must be determined: we must get rid of everything that slows us and the nation down, especially the racism that just won't let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us. 7 . Servanthood: servanthood is what will make this country a great nation. This country will not become great without it! Following in the footsteps of our forefathers, we will retain members who live to benefit another person and the nation at large, members who will sacrifice for someone else's joy or fulfillment. And we will rid ourselves of members who are self-serving. 8 . Exercise Bravery in our pursuit of birthing the new nation: we shall march forth with courage and determination, drawing strength from our common plight and our brotherhood. In time, we shall be in a position to bestow upon this nation the greatest gift possible: income-earning opportunities for all its people. 9 . Honour the heritage created by our forefathers: we shall honour and live by the faith of our forefathers and pass it on to our descendants. Those who come after us will know and experience the heritage of this nation.

The President of SARA understands the needs and hopes of her people:

"I am humbled to represent the fierce determination of the people of South Africa, Alliance Partners

to collectively rally behind a National Agenda. It is this collective that inspires me every day despite

my own challenges to rise to a place of effective strict bold leadership and compassion for our

people. There is much at stake in this country and especially in this comingelection."

Welcome to SARA

The South African Rainbow Alliance (SARA) is a pre-election alliance of like-minded political parties, civic and faith-based organisations, and a house of traditional leaders established for the purpose of maximising the voter support base in the South African elections. The Alliance is a registered political party with the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa. All our alliance partners are bound together by a common goal to be reached by means of a common political strategy, joint actions, the pooling of resources, and the distribution of possible pay-offs amongst all the alliance members. The subsequent pay-offs come in the form of parliamentary seats, provincial legislature seats, and/or ministerial portfolios. SARA is an office-seeking alliance in that the alliance aims to hold public office following every contested election in order to advance a set of policy goals adopted by the alliance.
